How to Choose the Right Wristband Length

Decide whether you’d like your wristband to fit snugly around your wrist or if you prefer it to move freely.

1. Measure your wrist circumference. If you don’t have a measuring tape, use a piece of string or ribbon and then measure it with a ruler.
2. For a snug fit, add approximately 1 cm to your wrist circumference to determine the ideal woven section length. – Example: If your wrist measures 14 cm, choose a 15 cm wristband.
3. For a looser fit, add 2-3 cm so the wristband moves freely but stays securely on your wrist. – Example: If your wrist measures 16 cm, choose a 18 cm or 19 cm wristband.

If your chosen size isn’t quite right, you can carefully remove the button and sew it in a new position for a better fit.

Weaving Technique & Pattern

Every Yrmegard Workshop wristband is handwoven using the traditional technique of tablet weaving. If you’d like to learn this craft yourself, explore our weaving kits and topical articles. The wristband pattern is double-sided and originates from a traditional Estonian folk belt in the collection of the Estonian National Museum. You can find photos and descriptions of the belt in the Estonian Museum Information System (MUIS). The belt comes from Orajõe Parish, historically known by its German name Orrenhof – which inspired the name of this wristband pattern.

Care Instructions

We use only high-quality, natural materials whenever possible. Wristbands with the Saarahof pattern are woven from high-quality cotton crochet thread produced in Italy. – If needed, handwash the wristband in cold water with a mild detergent. – Please note: exposure to hot water may cause slight shrinkage, making the band shorter.

Please take into account:

• Actual wristband colours may vary slightly from photos due to different screen settings and slight variations in yarn colour.
• Woven section lengths are rounded to ±3 mm, depending on the pattern and structure.
• Wristbands on backorder are usually produced within 10 working days.
