Description
Yrmegard tablets are made from durable coated cardboard (400 g/m²), ensuring they withstand weaving tension even when the warp threads are pulled tight. Since the tablets are thin, a pack of 10 tablets without warp threads measures just 0.7 cm in width. When threaded, depending on the thickness of the warp, the pack width can increase to approximately 1.2–1.5 cm. This means that for wider patterns, the tablets won’t stretch the warp sideways, helping to maintain even tension.
One side of the tablets features the Yrmegard Workshop logo. The logo helps you track each tablet’s position while weaving, making it easier to spot mistakes – especially in patterns where all tablets are turned together in the same direction.
Each tablet has 8 holes, offering great flexibility for different weaving techniques. You can create patterns requiring 2, 3, 4, 6, or 8 warp threads per tablet and one, two, or three sheds. The diagram below illustrates different ways to thread the tablets based on the number of warp threads and sheds used.
