A wonderfully soft and colourful wristband makes a special gift, conveying messages of warmth, care, friendship, or love. Handmade with care, each band is slightly unique\u2014just like each of us. Wristband’s width: 1.1 cm.<\/p>\n

How to Choose the Right Wristband Length <\/strong><\/h6>\n

Decide whether you\u2019d like your wristband to fit snugly around your wrist or if you prefer it to move freely.<\/p>\n

  1. Measure your wrist circumference. If you don\u2019t have a measuring tape, use a piece of string or ribbon and then measure it with a ruler.<\/li>\n
  2. For a snug fit, add approximately 1 cm to your wrist circumference to determine the ideal woven section length. – Example: If your wrist measures 14 cm, choose a 15 cm wristband.<\/li>\n
  3. For a looser fit, add 2-3 cm so the wristband moves freely but stays securely on your wrist. – Example: If your wrist measures 16 cm, choose a 18 cm or 19 cm wristband.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If your chosen size isn\u2019t quite right, you can carefully remove the button and sew it in a new position for a better fit.<\/p>\n

    Weaving Technique & Pattern<\/strong><\/h6>\n

    Every Yrmegard Workshop wristband is handwoven using the traditional technique of tablet weaving. If you’d like to learn this craft yourself, explore our weaving kits and topical articles<\/a>. The wristband pattern is double-sided<\/strong> and originates from a traditional Estonian folk belt<\/strong> in the collection of the Estonian National Museum. You can find photos and descriptions of the belt in the Estonian Museum Information System (MUIS)<\/a>. The belt comes from J\u00e4\u00e4rja Parish, historically known by its German name Saarahof<\/strong> – which inspired the name of this wristband pattern.<\/p>\n

    Care Instructions <\/strong><\/h6>\n

    We use only high-quality, natural materials whenever possible. Wristbands with the Saarahof pattern are woven from high-quality cotton crochet thread produced in Italy. – If needed, handwash the wristband in cold water<\/strong> with a mild detergent. – Please note: exposure to hot water may cause slight shrinkage<\/strong>, making the band shorter.<\/p>\n
